For my final project, i will be working with Kyle Stickler. What we are going to do, is make a fagebook page of all the Logical Fallacies and give videos of Presidential Debates, famous comedians, and pictures of the Fallacies being done in the real world. We are going to relate them back to some of the stories we have read

My Big Question Part II

Think about my Big Question is kind of concerning me a little bit. My question is not as easy to find answers. Yes it is looking into the future, but its looking into something people right now are stumped on. I want to know, what is going to happen to the world in a couple years. Yes it is a head scratching question, but thats what the assignment was right? Here what I have been thinking about it.
So, first of all, im going to research all of the things that is happeneing in the world as we speak. How mich debt the US is in, global warming, the ozone, everything. Ever since the damn Mayans ran out of space on their calendar, and had everyone freaking out about the world ending in December, I have always had that little doubt in my mind. I want to take action into this subject and see if what their "prediction" was really does make sense or if it really is a big load of crap.

Remix

So, you told us to post about the remixes in real life. The song "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Maroon 5 is definitely part of this subject. Of course its not very popular because the famous Kanye West Remixed this song and called it Heard 'Em Say. If you listen to the chorus of Kanye's song, it is the exact same chorus as Maroon 5's song. Not many people knew that this remix even existed because Kanye was more famous at the time this song came out, than Adam Levine and Maroon 5 were.

Self Reliance-David Guetta

So after watching the David Guetta video, i found out how self reliance ties into it. all the artists, including himself, all live life their way. they dont follow people or copy any one. they "rock to the beat of their own drum," they set their own stage.

Ad Hominem

I was at a baby shower today, and my two cousins were talking about the types of icing on the cupcakes. One of them was sure that the icing was some sort of chocolate, the other knew that it was chocolate pudding. When they were argueing back and forth, the one who knew for a fact it was the pudding, had for sure declared that it wasnt icing at all, the other cousin had said, "well you know what else isn't icing, YOU RACE." I right away grabbed my phone and wrote down what he had said because i knew it was an Ad Hominem.

Midterm Study Schedule

On Mondays and Wednesday I have Cheer Practice in Ventura, so for the hour and a half car ride there and back, im going to study each list for each direction. So on the way there will be week one. For the ride back home will be week two. And so on and so on. The days i dont have practice i can take an hour each night while im in bed and study the other lists. Since I know the majority of the words it most likely wont take me the whole amount of the time alotted. I can use the Vocab lists I hand wrote in class, and if wordt comes to worst I can just go on my blog and review using my phone. Thank God I have a smartphone or else I wouldnt have as many opportunities as i do with one.

Romanticism

When I took a walk, I could smell the fresh cut grass aroung my neighborhood. I closed my eyes for a while and could hear a dog barking and a car drive by me. Im sure the car was thinking I was a nut job for standing there, but I never knew how much I took for granted. When people say, if you loose a sense, your other senses take over. That is very true. If i didnt have my eyes closed, I would have never smelled the dog poop next to me. While I was walking with my eyes OPEN, i never noticed that I could walk under all the branches in my neighborhood. Some of the perks of being short finally came out when i was looking for little details.

My Three websites: http://public.wsu.edu/~brians/hum_303/romanticism.html
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/romanticism
http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/roma/hd_roma.htm

Romanticism, from what I thought, had to do with love and relationships and all that goo go gaga stuff. Little did I know, it had to do with the Roman Era, and around the time of the French Revolution. I also had no idea that Romanticim was incorporated in the Star Wars soundtrack. I didnt know that Romanticism also had to do with Gothic Romance either. What i wrote in my notes, didnt really have to do with this stuff. Like I said, /i thought it was more about Love than Historic events

Dream Within a Dream

Since i didnt do this for homework last night. I decided to do it now. After thinking about our class discussion, i would have to agree with Miyah, and say that it could possibly be about a breakup of somesort. Or even , like you said, a separation of some sort. But with anything in life, there is always a greater meaning if we think about anything for a while. When he talks about the grains of sand slipping through his fingers, hes talking about the fact that he has to let whatever he is dwelling on, go. With a breakup or boarding school, you have to let the anger or depression go, or else he will go crazy

Septemebr 10, 2012

After today's discussion, I really do want to be able to get text messages to my phone everytime you post on the blog. During class we had talked about being able to recieve a text everytime you post something, or possibly comment on your blog. I think that would be an awesome idea, becasue that would make us be more involved and catch all the extra credit posts. That is just my opinion on the subject, but I know I am not the only one that feels this way. Most of my classmates in 1st period feel the same way i do.

Reflections on Week 1

To be honest, the only factors that i can think of are positive factors. I have an iPhone, so i can definately use that to help me with homework and the project infinity game. I have many friends in your classes, so we can get together and discuss homework, inclass topics, etc. I have a car, so transportation is not a problem, and i have my own laptop so thats easy.
I think the best learning experience i have had was Freshamn year in Mrs. Coat's English 1 class. She was such an awesome teacher, with an amazing learning environment. She was super loud, and was the chillest teacher. I looked forward to going to her class, not only because it was my last class of the day, but because she made learning fun. She was very helpful when it came to work that i had missed from my cheer competitons and from my sick days. I could go to her for anything, school related or not.
I am extremely excited about the Project Infinity game. Not only is it a great idea for us to compete against each other, but also its a way to challenge each other to do good inschool, without it being at school. I also am very excited to do more work with the blogs, and see everyone's blog as it grows and changes. It is like our own twitter accounts for school work. It makes learning and school work sort of fun.

The first week of your class, i realized that i was going to love being in there for a whole year. Your teaching style compliments the way i learn, and the type of student i am. Your didactic personally, and the obvious non-ascetic lifestyle you portray,  really does reflect on your students. I love the whole "blog" idea, and the fact that these blogs adumbrate our personalities as students, is such a great way of learning. I love the fact that you are not a curmudgeonous person, and as a student we can be upfront with you with our problems. Whenever i walk into your classroom, i know i will be beguiling the 50 minutes i have with you, in a fun learning environment. I can assure you, i will most definately not be one of those contumacious, disruptive students. I hope to be a burgeonous student, and you can visually see my growth in your class. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be in your class, and learn from the greatest. I dont know how to use the words apotheosis or bauble in a sentence. My vocabulary is not advanced enough to put them in a sentence correctly. Im sure i didnt put these words in the sentences correctly either, but i have no idea how to use those two words at all.
